Pelican™ 9410 and 9415 NiMH Flashlight Recall Notice

A new update from Pelican™ Products

Pelican™ takes the quality and reliability of its products very seriously. As such, they are constantly monitoring the performance of their products in the field to maintain customer safety and satisfaction with our products.

As a result of this monitoring, Pelican™ is issuing a recall of 9410 and 9415 NiMh flashlights because there is a potential problem with aged battery packs in these models during the charging process. The battery pack can become unstable and explode while charging, creating a risk of injury and damaging the light and property in the process. This does not affect the 9410L flashlight.

Pelican™ is requesting that its distributors (i.e. The Case Store) return all of their inventory related to these products, including chargers, immediately.

Contact Pelican™, 8 AM-5 PM PT, Monday through Friday at (toll free) (877) 619-0289, (310) 257-5691, or via e-mail at CSR.QualityReturns@pelican.com to learn more about this recall.

Pelican™ has added a Technical Bulletin to their website (www.pelican.com/9410-9415-recall). They will be providing detailed information as soon as it is available.

To identify recalled products without the original packaging, check the decal on the handle area that states the model or catalog number. For the individual charger and product the labels show the catalog or model number (see below).
